Using cheats, bots or any hack to exploit the game is prohibited. Exploiting the game through a bug or other method is also prohibited. Bugs should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Be aware, that only missing item, item duplication or "stuck" bugs will be addressed or bugs that would otherwise affect the overall performance of the game.

As a player of Faery Tale Online, you must take full responsibility for your characters' actions and your own actions both inside and outside of the game. While bugs such as missing/duplicated items or stuck characters should be reported immediatly, all other issues such as player/character disputes are the sole responsibility of the individuals involved and should be resolved within the game. Such player character disputes are not the responsibility of the developer or staff (to address), other than those that fall under the Code of Conduct (Section 3). No special privelege or preference will be given to any player. You agree to PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK
Faery Tale Online requires users to be 18 years old or older to sign-up. Objectionable content may include literary (non-graphical) reference to sex, alcohol, and violence.
3. CODE OF CONDUCT
Players of Faery Tale Online can enter names, descriptions, messages, and images to the game. The following content is objectionable and FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE CODE OF CONDUCT MAY RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE BAN OR SUSPENSION OF SERVICE. Note that the following applies to references in real-life, not those within a fantasy realm (eg Dwarves talking about "drinking Ale", or "hating Goblins" does not breach these rules).
- Impersonating a game-master or developer.
- Using Vulgar, hateful, racist, prejudice, or otherwise harmful language toward players.
- Using pornographic images.
- Using content that relates to using drugs, alcohol, or other illegal substances.
- Using content that is copyrighted, trademarked.
- Using offensive content that relates to a player's religious deity, or belief system.
- Using any language or images that is not in the spirit of a fantasy world and that breaks the game immersion ("Britney Spears", "wuz up", "OMG").
4. RULES OF PLAY
Faery Tale Online requires players to roleplay a character in a fictional, fantasy world. In order to provide enjoyment for all players, we ask that you do not share information, maps, clues or story events outside the game unless otherwise noted. Those who break the rule may be reminded by staff or even by players in the game. Repeated offenses to the rules may result in suspension or banishment from the game server.
It is permitted to play with more than one character. However, players are not allowed to abuse this freedom by using characters to cooperate or powergame (eg joining characters together to build an army, farm resources, build objects, etc) without a very good role-playing reason.
If you know how to contact the player of another character, private messages are allowed to help develop cultures. An out of character discussion should not be abused, however. Players should not use their own OOC feelings and opinions about other players to determine how their characters would react to those players' characters.
If you have volunteered as a colony founder, you may not share accounts with other players unless approved by the administrator.
An important rule to remember is that your character in the Faery world has no knowledge of the real world, nor any knowledge of anything at all, but what he or she learns from their experiences within the game itself.
Finally, remember the "Golden Rule": Be respectful of others playing the game.
