2. ELIGIBILITY Faery Tale Online requires users to be 18 years old or older to sign-up. Objectionable content may include literary (non-graphical) reference to sex, alcohol, and violence. |
|
3. CODE OF CONDUCT Players of Faery Tale Online can enter names, descriptions, messages, and images to the game. The following content is objectionable and FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE CODE OF CONDUCT MAY RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE BAN OR SUSPENSION OF SERVICE. Note that the following applies to references in real-life, not those within a fantasy realm (eg Dwarves talking about "drinking Ale", or "hating Goblins" does not breach these rules).

4. RULES OF PLAY
Faery Tale Online requires players to roleplay a character in a fictional, fantasy world. In order to provide enjoyment for all players, we ask that you do not share information, maps, clues or story events outside the game unless otherwise noted. Those who break the rule may be reminded by staff or even by players in the game. Repeated offenses to the rules may result in suspension or banishment from the game server. Provided that a player signs up with a completely new game account, it is permitted to play with more than one character. However, players are not allowed to abuse this freedom by using characters to cooperate or powergame (eg joining characters together to build an army, farm resources, build objects, etc) without a very good role-playing reason. Also, keep multiple accounts to a maximum of 3 to give the courtesy to those who have not yet had a chance to play. First time violators will be warned, repeat offenders may be permanently banned. If you know the forum name of another character's player, private messages are allowed to help develop cultures. An out of character discussion should not be abused, however. Players should not use their own OOC feelings and opinions about other players to determine how their characters would react to those players' characters. A warning will be given on the first actionable, reported offense, repeat offenses may be bannable. Please use the Report page to submit problems of this nature. If you have volunteered as a colony founder, you may not share accounts with other players unless approved by the administrator. Because of a high amount of meta-gaming, playing more than one character at the same colony location is against the rules. If you find yourself in this situation, please use the Account Giveaway thread. An important rule to remember is that your character in the Faery world has no knowledge of the real world, nor any knowledge of anything at all, but what he or she learns from their experiences within the game itself. Finally, remember the "Golden Rule": Be respectful of others playing the game. For clarity on these rules, or for any questions about role-playing, ask about it on the Faery Tale Online forums. |
